Traditional Approach for the North Carolina Teacher Certification
- Gain a degree from a college or university. Have transcripts.
- Teacher preparations. This will include teacher prep courses and student teaching.
- Pass the Praxis I and II Exams
- Submit the following:
- Completed application form
- Have your teacher verify the completion
- Current certifications (if you already have one)
- $85 Application fee payable to “Department of Public Instruction”
- Official Transcripts of all degrees and credits you have earned
- Copies of test scores
