  1. Earn a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college
  2. Have 180 hours of teaching experience (student teaching qualifies)
  3. Pass the Pre-Professionals Skills Test (PPST)
  4. Submit the following:

    • Official transcripts, degrees, and school credits
    • Fees made out to Treasurer State of Maine
    • Copies of all test scores
